Paul Mabray: Yes, Craig, it is, we actually can use technology as well as lead it, so (laughter). But again, uh Craig, thank you very much for giving us this opportunity and like I said, such a pleasure to speak with you. CW: Well I’m glad somebody forwarded it to me. You know, it’s funny, I actually was sitting in the office today with Cary Green from Wine America. He hadn’t seen it, so I made sure to point it out to him.

PM: Yeah, it’s uh, it’s been a fun project for sure. And it was a lot of fun to play with, so. So, um, well I just wanted to say before I actually even get started. You know, despite our predisposition to be proponents of consumer direct and direct sales in general, we really do believe that the three-tier system is an important element of the wine industry. And it’s an essential part of the wine industry. So I want you to understand that that’s also our perspective. You know, it’s not anti-wholesale by any means. It’s, um, synergistic components of one whole ecosphere.

CW: Well, Paul, I appreciate that, and in your little vignette, in your little film, you said that. And I noticed that and I appreciate that, and I think that most wineries recognize that, and that wholesalers are an integral part of the growth of wine in this country, so I appreciate that.

Google is celebrating sculptor Constantin Brancusi’s 135th anniversary

Google is celebrating sculptor Constantin Brancusi’s 135th anniversary with a portrayal of his greatest works, including The Kiss, in its Doodle.

Brancusi was born in Romania in 1876 and studied in Bucharest before moving to Paris in 1904. He spent over 50 years in the French capital and died there in 1957.

He produced over 215 sculptures by the time of his death and went on to become one of the founding figures of modern sculpture. He is also said to be one of the most original artists the 20th century has seen, according to the Metro.

His works, particularly carvings, apparently brought abstractism and primivitism into the medium of sculpture for the first time. He worked with various materials, including limestone, marble, bronze and wood. His pieces were considered to be just as important as Pablo Picasso’s in establishing the modern art era.

Apart from Picasso, Brancusi had many other influential friends, including sculptor Auguste Rodin, Man Ray and Henri Rousseau.

Now that we've got you all excited for the 2011 Cricket World Cup, we should probably tell you WHERE you can actually watch it.

If you're in America your options are a little limited, in that you need a satellite dish. DirectTV and Dish Network have "Cricket Ticket" packages that you can purchase for all your wicket needs. But you're not going to see it on ESPN or any other cable stations.

The rest of you will have to go online. Willow TV is the only official online broadcaster in the United States. They charge $129 for the entire Cup, but you can watch it live on any browser or mobile device.

If you're not quite ready to plunge into that, you can try to find one of many pirated streams. A simple Google search will bring up dozens, but don't pay for these, as they aren't entirely legit and will probably get shut down on a regular basis.

The Google corporate logo has been replaced by a Holiday Google Doodle on its homepage today. The holiday “Google Doodle” will be in place until Christmas Day, December 25th!

The holiday inspired Google Doodle has taken a considerable amount of time to achieve and the artists behind the holiday Google doodle have been working since July to create the design. Michael Lopez, Google’s chief doodler and his team of five artists took a total of 250 hours spanning over five months to create the holiday Google doodle, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The holiday Google doodle has 17 framed illustrations that depict scenes from around the world. If you hover your mouse on any of the beautiful illustrations, they open up to real a full size image. Users can click through for a search page related to that image.

The Holiday Google doodle features St. Basil’s Cathedral, Up on the Housetop and other holiday images from around the globe. Check out the complete list of artwork in the Google doodle and enjoy!

The 2011 BBVA Celebrity Game tips off at 7 PM Eastern Friday on ESPN, a precursor to the terrible basketball to follow all weekend. The NBA has mixed things up this season, allowing two general managers -- ESPN.com scribe and best-selling author Bill Simmons and late-night host Jimmy Kimmel -- to pick teams. Eric Freeman of Ball Don't Lie, a gentleman with an astute eye for what's important in basketball, listened to Simmons' Thursday podcast in order to jot down the GMs' respective rosters.

Star-divide

Simmons took the immortal Michael Rapaport, a Celebrity Game Hall-of-Famer if there ever was one, Joel McHale and either U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan or actor Armie Hammer. (Seriously, no one knows.) His NBA legends include Scottie Pippen, Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond, three excellent players who haven't hit 50. Kimmel fights back with Jalen Rose, Rick Fox and A.C. Green. Needless to say, this is not a fair fight.

But Kimmel has the almighty Justin Bieber, blockbuster performer who happens to be a 16-year-old Canadian. Other celebrities on Kimmel's roster include Rob Kardashian, Zach Levi and Lil' Romeo. Arguably, one could include Fox among the celebrities instead of the athletes. Such are the mindbenders involved with the NBA Celebrity Game!

Bill Walton will coach Simmons' team, while Magic Johnson will coach the Kimmels. Ty Burrell and Jason Alexander will serve as hecklers of some sort. Swin Cash and Tamika Catchings will be the actual best players on the court. Basketball!
