Hot & Sexy Screen Legend Jane Russell Dies at 89

Sexy screen legend Jane Russell passed away in Santa Maria, Calif. of respiratory failure at the age of 89 on Monday, her family told the Associated Press.

Known for her voluptuous hourglass figure, the brunette beauty became a pinup queen and movie star in the mold of Marilyn Monroe, Rita Hayworth and other icons -- but managed to avoid any major upheaval or scandal in her personal life.

Russell's vampy breakout role was in the 1943 Western The Outlaw, directed by eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes. WWI soldiers were huge fans of the busty brunette, who wore low-cut costumes and swimsuits in countless photos.

Other Russell hits included comedy-western The Paleface (1948) with Bob Hope, Double Dynamite with Frank Sinatra, and Gentleman Prefer Blondes, a musical in which she went toe-to-toe (and sang) with Monroe. (Russell also starred in 1955 sequel, Gentlemen Marry Brunettes, without the world-famous blond).

The Ides of March in Roman is simply the standard way of saying “March 15.” The term Ides comes from the earliest Roman calendar, which is said to have been devised by Romulus, the mythical founder of Rome. Whether it was Romulus or not, the inventor of this calendar had a penchant for complexity. The Roman calendar organized its months around three days, each of which served as a reference point for counting the other days:

- Kalends (1st day of the month)
- Nones (the 7th day in March, May, July, and October; the 5th in the other months)
- Ides (the 15th day in March, May, July, and October; the 13th in the other months)

On last night’s episode of ‘Kourtney and Kim Take NY’ Kim Kardashian was very upset over her nude W magazine Kim Kardashian pics. The Kim Kardashian W magazine nude photos were reportedly to be portrayed as artistic with buildings covering Kim Kardashian’s silver painted body.

Kim Kardashian stated on last night’s show the photos were ‘full on porn.’ Many of the images from the November issue show her bare breasts and nipples.

Kim Kardashian also stated “I feel so taken advantage of. I’m more naked here than I was in my ‘Playboy.’ I’ve definitely learned my lesson. I’m never taking my clothes off again, even if it’s for ‘Vogue.”’

Jane Russell Passes Away at 89

She was probably best known for her role in “The Outlaw” back in 1941, and Jane Russell has passed away at the age of 89.

The Hollywood icon suffered from respiratory failure and died in her Santa Maria home yesterday (February 28).

Her daughter-in-law Etta Waterfield told press, “She always said I’m going to die in the saddle, I’m not going to sit at home and become an old woman. And that’s exactly what she did, she died in the saddle.”

Ms. Russell had quite the body of work, including a part opposite Marilyn Monroe in the 1953 musical “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.” Jane and Marilyn sang a duet called “Two Little Girls from Little Rock” as they sought romance in Paris, France.

Jane was married three times, with her most recent husband John Peoples succumbing to heart failure back in 1999. Russell told press, “Without faith, I never would have made it.”

Seeing reality TV star Kim Kardashian slathered in silver paint in the pages of W Magazine, we just had to ask: Kim Kardashian silver paint photos hot or not?

The November issue of W magazine, in which reality TV star Kim Kardashian is covered in body paint and featured with a silver body, has drawn quite a bit of publicity. The photos, part of the W Magazine annual art issue, feature reality TV star Kim Kardashian in nothing but silver, so we just had to ask the question: Kim Kardashian silver paint photos hot or not?

The silver body of art that is Kim Kardashian has certainly drawn opinions on both sides, with even Kim Kardashian herself opining on her show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, that the silver paint photos were porn!

However, reality TV star Kim Kardashian calmed down after a while and quickly changed her stance, saying later on during the show Kourtney and Kim Take New York that the pics were OK.

Sample 'Wonderlic' Test

One of the more interesting tests the players at the NFL Scouting Combine have to take is not even on the gridiron. It's in the classroom and it's the intimidating 'Wonderlic' Test, which supposedly goes a long way towards measuring a player's "Football IQ." The history of the test includes some very interesting scores, both at the high and low end. A few years ago, former University of Texas and Tennessee Titans QB Vince Young reportedly scored a '6' on the test. At the same time, Buffalo Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick scored a '50' and Washington Redskins QB Donovan McNabb got a '14' on his test.

Does this really matter in terms of translating into a good, or bad NFL player? That still remains to be seen with scores all over the place for both good and not-so-good players in the league. Regardless, it's still an interesting topic for conversation around the NFL Combine.

At the NFL Scouting Combines, the athletes are finally able to see the physical results of their hard work in the weight room. The long hours in the gym, eating food prepared by their nutritionist, all of the sacrifices that they had to make to impress the NFL scouts and general managers in attendance.

The one part of their body that probably received the smallest amount of preparation time was their brain. That is where the Wonderlic exam comes in to play.
